Slips and Trips

Slips, trips and falls have many causes, from wet and slippery floors to falls caused by objects left in inappropriate places. The owner or occupier has a legal duty of care to keep their premises in a safe condition, and you can claim against them if you've had an accident as a result of them failing to do so.

95% of major slips result in broken bones, most commonly: broken leg, elbow, arm or collarbone, as well as injuries such as dislocations of the hip - all of which can then be the cause of a further injury, such as slipping at the top of a flight of stairs, and the subsequent fall. Falling can result in hitting the head and suffering concussion, brain swelling or memory loss.

Work environments have a duty to all employees, but you may not know that shops, restaurants, museums and even the streets you walk on all need to comply with the Health and Safety Regulations. If you trip on an uneven pavement and incur injuries as a result, then the Local Council may have failed in their duty of care to you, and you can pursue a claim against them.

If you've had a slip, trip or fall that wasn't your fault and you have suffered from this injury with medical bills, loss of earnings or pain, then call Personal Injury Assist today, and talk to one of our friendly and experienced advisors. We'll help you to get the compensation you deserve.
